There are further cold fronts to come, but they are not as strong, thanks to a high ridging in from the west. The heavy snow was only with the strong front earlier today, but light snow should persist through the weekend, and into Monday morning. The high moves overhead on Monday, so it should be quite sunny for Tuesday.

Expect another 10cm over the weekend and into Monday morning - bringing 20 to 35 cm by next week.

Rest of Friday

Areas of light snow (above 1000 metres).

Saturday

Persistent light snow (above 1200 metres).

Sunday

The chance of light snow showers (above 1200 metres).

Monday

The chance of light snow showers during the morning (above 1400 metres).

Tuesday

Dry and quite sunny.

Outlook: We enter a period of dry weather with that high in control. Tropical moisture once again surges down across the country, but doesn't affect us for now. A front should clip Victoria mid-week, and may bring a little snow. ...
